Meet Your Neighbor: Pam Chowayou

I am a Forest Hills local, and my elderly dad, Kenny, has been receiving QCH’s Meals on Wheels service for about three months now.
It's been such a blessing for him (and us) because he's mostly homebound due to his poor vision. He's nearly 80. My sister and I are his care-takers, but the meals help support our efforts, and the social worker that visits my father, Hannah, is so wonderful and kind. 

A few years ago, I volunteered during QCH’s Spring fundraising event. I walked up and down Austin Street asking local businesses for gift cards, donations, and support for Queens Community House. I did this to stay involved with my community and give back. I had no idea the organization would one day support my family when we needed it the most.
