COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Virtual Campaign Event

QCH Community Conversations

Due to the current crisis, Queens Community House will be canceling this year’s Spring event. In its place, however, we are hosting a one-hour virtual “community conversation” on the local impact and response to COVID-19. This will allow us to continue with our plan to recognize local heroes Susan Browning, Executive Director of Forest Hills Long Island Jewish Hospital, and Loycent Gordon, the 2020 recipient of the Queens Community Builder Award.

More than 200 people came out to support Queens Community House (QCH) at its “Strengthening Neighborhoods Inspiring Change” Gala on Wednesday, October 25.

Emcees for the evening’s program were Tamiru Mammo, a member of the QCH Board of Directors, and Anjelica Morell, a former participant in QCH’s Voyages Preparatory High School and current participant in its College Access and Success Program. She opened the program by saying, “It is because of QCH that I am now in my last semester at LaGuardia Community College.”
