We are seeking a qualified Housing Specialist with a strong commitment to client service to work in our Eviction Prevention Program.  The Eviction Prevention Program assists families that are at-risk of homelessness to maintain their existing housing or those that are homeless to transition into new permanent housing. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of housing court regulations, entitlements and must be able to develop and cultivate relationships with landlords, rental agencies, community organizations, and service agencies.

We are seeking a qualified Post-Secondary Counselor with a strong commitment to youth development to work in our College Access and Success Program (CASP).  The Post-Secondary Counselor will provide follow-up assistance to graduates of QCH's two Young Adult Borough Centers. For graduates still struggling to complete their plans for college/training programs or career-focused employment, the Post-Secondary Counselor will work individually with them.

We are seeking a qualified Employment Specialist with a strong commitment to youth development for an opening in our Youth Employment Services Department. The QCH Youth Employment Services Department is comprised of several employment programs for participants 14 to 24 years of age. The Employment Specialist will provide support services to program participants by preparing them for positions in internships and job openings through the provision of job coaching and the facilitation of weekly workshops.

DATA ENTRY / OFFICE ASSISTANT

We are seeking a qualified Data Entry/Office Assistant with a strong commitment to social services and to help improve the quality of life of individuals, families and communities. The Queens Community House Eviction Prevention Program assists families who are receiving public assistance and are in danger of becoming homeless or are homeless and searching for permanent housing. S/he will be responsible for collecting, reviewing and inputting a high volume of participant service, demographic, and outcome data into a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).

We will be opening a new COMPASS Afterschool Program at MS 358Q.  We will begin our inaugural year this school year 2017-2018. The program will be a comprehensive school year youth development program (10 month after school and holiday component). Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Worker, reporting to the Director of Facilities to support the day-to-day cleanliness and safety of QCH’s facilities. The Maintenance worker is responsible for the maintenance, care and equipment of internal/external areas by completing specific tasks related to cleaning, plumbing, minor electrical work, carpentry, or other areas of maintenance expertise. The ability to operate equipment and machinery and lift in excess of 50 pounds is required.
