QCH YouthBuild Advocates for NYS YouthBuild Act at the State Capitol

QCH YouthBuild joined NYS YouthBuild programs at the State Capitol to advocate for the NYS YouthBuild Act, a bill to provide funding to support these important youth workforce programs.

Two of our youth participants Emery and Tomaleek were able to share their stories in Albany and advocate for YouthBuild. Our staff and participants also had the opportunity to connect with Assemblymember Steven Raga and Assemblymember Daniel Rosenthal's Chief of Staff Ricky Malone.

Our YouthBuild program assists young adults (ages 18-24) in attaining their High School Equivalancy (HSE) Diploma and preparing for entry into the field of skilled trades. Our program also provides students with the opportunity to impact community change and acts as a platform for youth voices to be heard through civic engagement.
