Stella and Charles Guttman Foundation Supports Queens Childcare Network with $75,000 Grant

Stella and Charles Guttman Foundation is supporting Queens Community House's Queens Childcare Network (QCCN) with a $75,000 grant! QCCN will be able to pilot LENA Grow’s talk-pedometer technology and practice-based coaching to improve early language development of young children being served by 20 family childcare providers in Queens.

“The last two years have been especially challenging for our family-based childcare providers, parents and children. QCCN has sought to collaborate with LENA Grow to offset the increased isolation and stressors associated with the pandemic. Now more than ever, QCCN believes our children and daycares will benefit from LENA's unique resources to combat the "30-million-word gap." — Dawn Mastoridis, QCH QCCN Director

QCCN supports registered and licensed in-home childcare providers throughout Queens who serve 500+ children ranging in infancy to 12 years of age. In addition to parent advocacy and enrollment support, QCCN provides training, technical assistance, parent engagement and learning opportunities to our network of childcare providers. They also provide guidance to individuals seeking to become a regulated group or family group childcare provider within NYC.
