Social Adult Day Services / Caregiver Support
Our Social Adult Day Services programs offer support, social engagement, and therapeutic activities to older adults who are physically frail, socially isolated and/or memory-impaired. These programs are ideal for individuals who live at home, but need a little bit of extra support and/or companionship during the day. They also provide respite to family members and other caregivers.
QCH has more than 30 years of experience providing high-quality social day care services in a safe, warm, and welcoming environment. With the support of trained and caring staff, participants engage in supervised educational and recreational activities that increase their confidence and feelings of self-worth. Our programs can also allow them to remain active members of the community for as long as possible. A hot, fully balanced lunch and nutritious snacks are served daily, and field trips and special events are planned throughout the year. Transportation, case assistance, and other support services are available as needed.
QCH offers two distinct program models:
LIFT (Living Independently with Friendship and Togetherness) is for individuals who are physically and/or emotionally frail and/or exhibiting mild memory impairments. LIFT meets Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
TYME AWAY is for individuals who are living with moderate to early late-stage Alzheimer’s disease or related degenerative dementia disorder. TYME AWAY meets Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Do you provide care to a family member, friend, or neighbor who is sick, frail or disabled? Could you use some help? Our Caregiver Support program includes information and referrals to community-based services, counseling, support groups, limited home care and assistance in sorting out the options.
