Meet Your Neighbor: Jessica Chin

"Life during the pandemic was a (socially distanced friendly) roller coaster ride. It was difficult balancing my own fears while maintaining threads of hope for our older adult center participants and their families.  As a social worker and woman of color, I was presented with challenges that are unique to my tribe, from health disparities to violence against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. However, the pandemic has caused me to reflect on our work at QCH. We ARE and will forever be essential workers who not only had to navigate the pandemic with the same tactfulness as medical professionals, but are integral in healing the fractures that the pandemic, and more, has caused."
