INTERNSHIP COORDINATOR - HIGH SCHOOL FOR ARTS AND BUSINESS

We are seeking an Internship Coordinator to join our Learn to Work program. The Internship Coordinator under the supervision of the Program Director, will coordinate services and supports related to on-going placement of 45 high school interns in relevant sites in accessible locations in New York City. The Internship coordinator may also carry a small caseload of students as a primary person, addressing specific needs of over-aged under-credited students. DIRECTOR OF QUEENS CHILDCARE NETWORK

QCH Queens Childcare Network (QCCN) serves families and children from infancy through 13 years of age by putting attention to the environment, delivery and professional development of childcare services provided by regulated family and group family childcare providers. The Network, established in 1987 and with a membership of 45 providers serving approximately 500 children and families, is entering into contract with the NYC Department of Education to provide Early Learn services to infants and toddlers and 3 PK services.

The Family Worker will partner with families of children enrolled with our network in supporting the child’s development potential. We are seeking a qualified Program Director for Queens Connect with a strong commitment to workforce development and program oversight. Queens Connect is a sector-focused employment program that trains and prepares out of school youth for successful careers in the food service and manufacturing sector. FAMILY SUPPORT COORDINATOR (Temporary)

With the onset of site closings necessitated by COVID-19, we have shifted to remote operations. Staff are in contact by phone regularly with our participants and doing all they can to support them and their families with an ever-changing set of challenges. Meanwhile, we have developed protocols and tools for better assessing and tracking needs; for helping families to connect to online resources; and for making referrals, as appropriate, to internal teams of housing specialists, case managers, and social workers.
