COUNSELING SPECIALIST

Queens Community House (QCH) is seeking a qualified Counseling Specialist with a strong commitment to youth development to work in our Newtown High School Youth Development Center operated by QCH in collaboration with the Department of Education and the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD).  The Counseling Specialist will work with a caseload of 9th and 10th grade students.

Queens Community House is seeking a qualified Program Assistant who will perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties within our Learning to Work (LTW) program at Voyages Preparatory High School in Elmhurst, Queens. The LTW Program is an alternative pathway to graduation for youth 17 years and older, funded by The NYC Department of Education and implemented in collaboration with QCH. We are committed to providing support services to students who desire to pursue their high school diploma.

FRIENDLY VISITING COORDINATOR (TEMPORARY)

QCH’s “Friendly Visiting” program provides volunteers to visit older adults in QCH’s Senior Case Management Program on a regular basis for the purpose of reducing isolation, providing companionship, and monitoring general well-being. Agency-wide, QCH enlists a large base of volunteers that we strive to engage, support, and constantly refresh.

QUEENS CHILDCARE NETWORK PROGRAM ASSISTANT (BILINGUAL KOREAN/ENGLISH)

Queens Community House (QCH) is seeking a qualified Bilingual (English/Korean) Program Assistant with a strong commitment to social services to assist with community outreach at The Queens Childcare Network of Queens Community House. The Queens Childcare Network provides technical assistance and support to family and group family childcare providers. Through home visits, information and referral, education and use of peer role-modeling, the network promotes quality regulated in-home childcare services.

Beacon programs are collaborative school-based community centers serving children age six and older, and adults of all ages. The Beacon operates Monday-Friday from 1:30PM-9:30PM, Saturdays from 10AM – 5PM, and during school holidays, school recesses, and in the summer from 8AM to 6PM. Our Beacon is designed to help young people develop the skills and the mindset they need to succeed in their educational and career settings, and to become active participants and leaders in their community.

We are seeking a qualified Placement Specialist with a strong commitment to job development and retention services for our YouthBuild program. The YouthBuild program engages out-of-school, low-income youth ages 16-24 and provides an alternative education and employment pathway that enables participants to obtain a high school equivalency diploma, advance toward post-secondary education or career-oriented employment and take responsibility for their families and communities.

FACILITIES OPERATIONS MANAGER

Queens Community House seeks a Facilities Operations Manager to serve in an essential administrative role in our Operations/Maintenance Department. The Facilitates Operations Manager will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer on forthcoming renovation and new construction projects across the Borough. The Facilities Operations Manager is also responsible for supervising all maintenance and custodial staff as well as various management tasks at all QCH owned and leased commercial properties.
