EDUCATION SPECIALIST

We are seeking a qualified Education Specialist with a strong commitment to youth development to work at our Young Adult Borough Center (YABC) at High School for Arts and Business. The YABC/LTW Program is an alternative pathway to graduation for youth 17 years and older. The program is funded by the NYC Department of Education and implemented in collaboration with and at the site of YABC at High School for Arts and Business. We are committed to providing students with support services to achieve their goal of earning a high school diploma.

POST-SECONDARY SUCCESS COACH

Queens Community House (QCH) is seeking a qualified Post-Secondary Success Coach with a strong commitment to higher education to work in our College Access & Success Program (CASP). CASP supports students who may not be planning to further their post-high school education by encouraging them to enroll in a post-secondary pathway and assisting them with all aspects of the enrollment process; then upon high school graduation, working intensively to help them persist and succeed in college or trade school.

Queens Community House (QCH) is seeking a qualified Family Literacy Coordinator with a strong commitment to youth development and family literacy to work with our year-round youth development programs. QCH provides services for people from age 5 through the end of life. Queens Community House (QCH) is seeking a qualified Program Director for Queens Connect with a strong commitment to workforce development and program oversight. Queens Connect is a sector-focused employment program that trains and prepares out of school youth for successful careers in the food service and manufacturing sector. Beacon programs are collaborative school-based community centers serving children age six and older, and adults of all ages. The Beacon operates Monday-Friday from 1:30PM-9:30PM, Saturdays from 10AM – 5PM, and during school holidays, school recesses, and in the summer from 8AM to 6PM. Our Beacon is designed to help young people develop the skills and the mindset they need to succeed in their educational and career settings, and to become active participants and leaders in their community.

We are seeking a qualified Culinary Instructor with a strong commitment to youth development and the culinary arts to work in our Queens Connect Program.  Queens Connect is a workforce development collaboration among 4 community based organizations comprised of Queens Community House, Ocean Bay Local Development Corporation, Jacob Riis Neighborhood Settlement House and Sunnyside Community Services. FACILITIES OPERATIONS MANAGER

Queens Community House seeks a Facilities Operations Manager to serve in an essential administrative role in our Operations/Maintenance Department. The Facilitates Operations Manager will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer on forthcoming renovation and new construction projects across the Borough. The Facilities Operations Manager is also responsible for supervising all maintenance and custodial staff as well as various management tasks at all QCH owned and leased commercial properties.

The Director of Government Grant Writing is primarily responsible for developing and writing grant proposals and persuasively communicating QCH's mission and programs to potential funders.
