Caregiver Support

This is a program of the Queens Community House located at the Kew Gardens Community Center, 80-02 Kew Gardens Road, Kew Gardens, NY  11415.

Eligibility: Caregiver or Care Receiver must be over the age of 60.  Either the Caregiver or Care Receiver must reside in Forest Hills, Rego Park, Kew Gardens, Ozone Park, Richmond Hill or Woodhaven. We also help connect interested Caregivers to neighboring agencies covering communities outside our area.

Services: Once Caregivers have gone through the intake process they can access services such as: Individual Counseling and Emotional Support, Support Groups, Caregiver Training on Multiple Topics, Referral to other needed Community Services, Assistance Applying for & Accessing Benefits, and some Temporary Financial Supplements to help Caregivers in times of financial need as determined eligible and as long as funds last.
Voluntary contributions requested to support activities.
Care NYC Western Queens-Caregiver Services Partnership Lead Agency: Sunnyside Community Services, funded by the U.S. Administration on Aging’s Family Caregiver Support Program through the NYC Department for the Aging of Aging’s National Family Caregiver Support Program through The NYC Department for the Aging.
