Queens Community House Pomonok Center is hosting its “Senior Shoeboxes” drive to collect toiletries and small gifts.  The collected items are used to create care packages for homebound seniors and nursing home residents in the Queens community.

Suggested NEW items for donation:

• Toiletries- small lotions, toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, body wash, aftershave, mouth wash, Kleenex, handy wipes.
• Hair care Items- hair brushes, combs, hand-held mirrors, hair accessories
• Beauty Products- lipstick or lip balm, nail polish
• Stationary- ink pens, small notebooks, address books
• Small Electronics and game items- pocket radios, batteries, playing cards, puzzle books, stuffed toys
• Costume Jewelry- beads, pins, necklaces, small gift sets.
• Clothing Accessories- stocking caps, socks, gloves, scarves, hats
• Candy- sugar-free candies, soft candy, miniature chocolate bars, chewing gum, soft peppermints
• Snack Items-snack cakes (for regular diets), pudding or applesauce cups (for puree diets)
• WRAPPING PAPER

Items will be collected until Friday, December 16, 2011.  Please drop off items to the Pomonok Main Office or one of our collection bins located in the Pomonok Center Lobby or at our Main Site in Forest Hills.
