Youth Employment Services

The Queens Community House Summer Youth Employment Program is primarily designed to assist young people between the ages of 14-24 years old in attaining employment readiness skills and employment opportunities.

The QCH Summer Youth Employment Program is responsible for assisting youth participants by providing work readiness training and summer employment placements during the months of July and August. Some of the training we provide is in work place standards and communication skills. Once our prospective candidates are prepared for their work experiences, we match their skills and interests with existing opportunities. The participants gain valuable experience and enhance their skills further as they progress through the course of their experience.

Last summer we worked with over 300 youth participants and partnered with over 70 worksites as part of our Summer Youth Employment Program. Several of our worksites hired the youth participants we paired with them last summer to continue on working for them. The Queens Community House is looking to partner with local businesses and organizations within the surrounding areas who are interested in participating in our Summer Youth Employment Program.
